PRODUCE TEAM MEMBER
Job Description
Provides support as a member of the Produce team to include receiving and preparing product, maintaining the Produce floor and displays, and selling products. Performs all functions related to breaking down deliveries and stocking shelves.
Job Responsibilities
  • Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products.
  • Assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
  • Monitors and prevents spoilage and communicates waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor.
  • Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
  • Assists with periodic inventory checks.
  • Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
  • Maintains, or ensures maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment.·         Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
  • Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by store leadership.

  • Ability to learn and understand growing processes that differentiate conventional from organic produce.

Kitchen team Member
Job Description
As a Kitchen Team Member your role will include preparing all restaurant offerings in accordance to standard procedures, providing excellent customer service, and cleaning and maintaining the prepared foods area. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.
Essential Duties:
  • Give every customer immediate and undivided attention.
  • Follow through on all customer questions and requests.
  • Keep department supplies filled and maintained.
  • Follow established food safety procedures.
  • Keep all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated.
  • Maintain accurate retail pricing and signage.
  • Be aware of new products and their placement.
  • Maintain backstock areas and coolers.
  • Document product transfers, waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
  • Practice safe use of all tools and equipment required by the position.
  • Practice proper care and maintenance of all equipment.
  • Know and practice proper lifting techniques.
  • Report safety violations and hazards immediately.
  • Effectively communicate with all Team Members regarding proper department operations.
  • Properly package and wrap products for retail sale.
  • Wrap and store unused products in coolers.
  • Adhere to cleaning and maintenance schedules.
  • Attend all department, store and training meetings when scheduled.
  • Answer telephones with proper etiquette when time permits.
  • Assist other departments when necessary to facilitate customer service.
  • Wash dishes and utensils when necessary.
  • Fill and maintain deli cases.
  • Prepare made to order menu items.
  • Peel, chop and slice produce items.
  • Slice sandwich meats and cheeses.
  • Regular attendance is essential.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management and Store Leadership.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pound unassisted.
  • Able to meet physical job requirements.
  • Must have a passion for natural foods.
  • Able to communicate effectively with others and convey enthusiasm.
  • Possess some customer service experience.
  • Must be self-motivated and solution-oriented.
  • Is available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department.
  • Desire to learn all aspects of the department.

CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM MEMBER / SUPPLEMENT CONSULTANT
Job Description
Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service in the Supplement department. Sell and stock nutritional supplements, body care, and other products. Build and maintain attractive displays in accordance with The Whole Wheatery standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service; ensure customer needs are met in a timely fashion.
  • Comply with all applicable regulations and guidelines (DSHEA - Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act in the US) when assisting customers in selecting products that best suit their needs.
  • Monitor product quality and freshness and ensure proper rotation or product.
  • Maintain accurate department signage and pricing.
  • Log, process, and retrieve customer special orders, as needed.
  • Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature and sweep logs, as required.
  • Follow department procedures for preparing, storing, rotating, and stocking of product.
  • Maintain a clean and well organized work area.
  • Follow and comply with established procedures, including health and sanitation, and safe work practices.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy
  • Ability to follow directions and established procedures
  • Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness
