 | Cradle cap Cradle cap is a skin condition that affects babies. It consists of large, oily, yellow flakes on their scalps. Cradle cap usually disappears within a few months but it may stem from a deficiency of the B vitamin biotin in mom. Nursing moms should eat foods rich in biotin, such as brown rice, cauliflower, mushrooms, and egg yolk to combat cradle cap.
